Pringles
Cover art appears to have print defects (in comparison to the CD); I doubt both discs added up to 180g combined; low end sounds alright, but the high end seems limited but not sure if that's just the way it was mastered to begin with or not. No particular problems with the vinyl itself.
Butius
Yep ... on the same page as all. This is absolute garbage. Very bummed out.
Global Progression
KP is Kevin Park who works at The Laquer Channel in Ontario. He is the Lathe operator for laquer cutting and cut this release, as for tapes I don't know, pretty sure it was a digital file since they don't run a preview head on their tape machine anyways :). Actual pressing was done at Canada Boy vinyl in Calgary.
Bad Sunny
Terrible, low resolution jacket reproduction (really grainy). This looks more like a bootleg than the actually bootleg release. At least the bootleg looks more like the original. No inset, but the insert content is printed on the inside of the gatefold jacket (which is cheap cardboard - with low resolution picture/text). Cheap paper inner sleeves which does damage to the vinyl (surface scratches).Vinyl wise - it's like everybody has said - noisy. A lot of surface noise and very quite reproduction. Which need to be turned up.Lacks the punch of the CD or original vinyl.Surprised the band would release such a poor product to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Edges Of Twilight.Don't bother buying this. It's utter crap. I collect/listen to vinyl - my advice is to buy the CD over this pressing. Actually if you want it on vinyl really bad but can't afford an original pressing. Then you are better off buying the bootleg over this official release.Which looks and sounds better than this.

It's no pallas job, but it's well mastered. Far warmer than the original cd and with plenty of body and detail. Well worth owning even if the vinyl is a little noisier, I doubt this was analog to begin with for the master anyways so there could never be an analog mastering. Dat was pretty common at that time, so this is good as it gets with less compression on the overall audio.
Hulbine
Yes that what I think also. I may return my copy to Amazon and ask for a new one...
Nayatol
I think you got a defective copy, because I bought 2 and they both sound great and very analog compared to the cd which sounds 1 dimensional and very slightly harsh at times. If I were to guess on sound is that this album was tracked in analog and then mixed to digital 2 channel.
Saithinin
Hum, maybe my copy is defective cause it sound not good and the pressing is not well done and the vinyls are very noisy. Got mine from Amazon. I comparethe original CD to the vinyls edition and the CD sound a little bit bright but I can hear more details in the music and vocals, the guitars sound also better. Most of their album was recorded in analogue until their Seven circles album, they often speak about it in interviews.
Jockahougu
Agreed. A definite step up in terms of the overall sound compared to the original CD. Some light pops and crackles here and there with this pressing, but nothing out of line with typical new vinyl. Well worth owning this version if you like the album.

This is a very bad release. It's a deluxe edition who have nothing special at all. The LP's are full ofstatic, noisy with a lot of clicks and pops, very low output sound level, cheap gatefold sleeve with poor reproduction of the front cover and other artworks like 4 small pictures and list of the songs on the back cover. No lyrics sheet include. Cheap thin paper inner sleeve. The sound is just horrible, it's clearly made from digital files and not cut from analogue tapes, the sound is flat with no warm, the drumsound tinny, vocals sound distant in the mix. Since the volume level is very low, you need to increase the volume to the maximum and you hear all the noise from the poor quality records. Both LP's had finger prints (not mine) as well as a lot of hairy lines from the cheap paper inner sleeves. One record is wrapped and both are not well centered. Even after washing both vinyls 3 times with the spin clean machine, the records stay very noisy. I don't even know if it's the remastered version who was use to cut the vinyl since I don't hear any improve in the sound if I compare it to the original CD release (who sound great to begin with). Overall, it's a release to avoid. I never buy CD anymore and buy all the new music on vinyls but for this deluxe remastered edition go with the remastered CD edition because of the bonus disc who includes several demos and interesting stuff.
Tat
Don't bother with the remastered CD, it's just more compressed than the original and that's it.
